I am tasked with teaching an in-person ELA 8 section as well as teaching entirely Remote/Distance 6th and 7th grade FLEX classes, and 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Advisory classes.
I was tasked with picking up the class in the middle of February and attempted to continue education seamlessly as we rolled off of the previous unit taught by another educator into my own units moving forward until the end of the year.
Classes transitioned from Hybrid to Fully In-Person during my first month. Distance/Remote classes remained as such and provided unique and interesting challenges and advantages for teaching.
Current long-term position.
I am tasked with last minute fill-in positions for sudden teacher absences and illnesses due to COVID-19 related reasons and emergencies.
I regularly act as a paraprofessional within SPED classrooms, act as support in core classrooms when needed, and act as a substitute for last minute positions within the school.
I accepted a six week long term assignment as a substitute within a middle school art classroom.
I am tasked with taking full control of an art classroom for this period, including designing and teaching lessons, grading projects and assignments, and assuming responsibility for in-person and remote student learning.
I infuse elements of English content into the Art curriculum to bridge the gap between my knowledge pools and to best teach students in both content areas.
I assisted in a 6th Grade ELA classroom from January to May of 2020, including before and during the COVID-19 Epidemic.
I took complete control for around five weeks total with full control of the core content classes until school closures.
I taught a Figurative Language unit during the time prior to school closures and assisted with online learning through a Virtual Classroom.
